# Staking allocations

A total of 48 million tokens will be allocated towards bootstrapping staking rewards over a 36 month period. 

Staking rewards from emissions is only intended to be a boostrapping mechanism as more assets and fees are accumulated inside the rewards pool.\

Tokens streamed from the [Deflationary Model](/eclipse-pad/tokenomics/deflationary-model.md)will go towards bolstering and increasing the distribution of the staking pool in the meanwhile too.\
\
The [Rewards Pool](/eclipse-pad/eclipse-mechanics/rewards-pool.md) is intended to take over from staking rewards coming from emissions over the long-term.
